Reviews for the Canon EOS 30D
Register here to add your own review| Pro: | - Reletively cheap for a camera that is this fast (AF, continuous-mode) - ISO-performance (compared to the 300D almost every camera is better ;-) ) - The batteries of the 300D are copatible with the 30D, so I didn't have to buy new ones. |
| Con: | - LCD: I think it's only reliable to look at the composition of the photo and read off the graphs and settings. I encountered a number of times that a pic looked ok on the LCD (light and contrast), but on the computer it was about twice as dark... - No full-frame sensor |
| Review: | The references I have is my own 300D, the 20D and the 5D. Compared to the 300D it's a better camera in almost everything. It's very strange if you are used to the small LCD of the 300D/20D that the pics and info are readeble :-P The only thing I miss on the 30D is the full-frame sensor. Apart from that the thing does everything I need. |

| Pro: | Really good ISO-performance, good AF, 2.5" display, _fast_ and very well built. |
| Con: | Would like to have some more customfunctions like the D200 |
| Review: | I bought this body as an upgrade for my 300D, which was a nice camera but lacked a lot of settings. Compared to the 300D, this is a great improvement, both performancewise as wel as the ergonomy. I haven't really encountered any con's with this camera, the only thing that I would like is the programmability of the D200. But otherwise it performs like a beast, it's fast and does the job I require it to do perfectly. I shoot a lot of low-light, and even ISO3200 is perfectly usable :) |
