Reviews for the Canon EOS 300D
Register here to add your own review| Pro: | - Very nice camera to start with - exchangable lenses with the old EOS SLR-cameras |
| Con: | - I find it to slow when trying to make 'The' shot with fast action (like horse-riding) - On the 'M' setting the shutter can be controlled with the wheel, but when changing the apture you neet to push a extra button to use the wheel on that setting - ISO-performance: On ISO3200 the photo's are not realy usable unless you downsize the pics tot about 800x533 (then the noise will dissapear automatically due to the resize-process). |
| Review: | When the DSLR-camera's became affordable, I was looking at one for my own. The only thing was that I didn't have the money to buy a new one, so I bought it from a friend of mine. Best choise I ever made for this hobby. Now I still use the device as my backup and if I go to small events where the performance of the 30D isn't needed (I'd rather have my 300D broken than the 30D :-P) |

| Pro: | Light, cheap, grip available, excellent image quality |
| Con: | Lack of settings that you can change, buildquality is sufficient but nothing more than that, lack of AF-Servo |
| Review: | I have used this body for over 1.5 years (now it's my backup for the 30D) with a lot of pleasure. It performs excellent, the imagequality is just great. The disadvantages are that you can't change a lot of settings, but with a firmwarehack it gets a little better. The most annoying thing is dat you can't set the metering modes: it's fully automatic. But if you consider that this was the first sub-$1000,- dSLR and that it gives great results, it isn't a lemon: I have a lot of fun shooting with this camera :) |
