Yourlensreview - Lens - Sigma 24-70 F/2.8 EX DG Macro

If your budget is nog big and you want a F2.8 lens (read: you can't afford the Canon F2.8) its a nice lens.
It feels very decent when holding it in your hand. Not the plastic-fantastic-feeling.
Quite cheap for a F2.8 lens.

When using a Tiffen UV-filter (I know...) the damn thing can hunt a lot in the dark. When removing the UV-filter, it wil get a fix within a second.
The sharpness could be better. It's possible that I have a specimen that was produced on a blue monday.

Overall I think it's a great lens if you dont have to make pictures inside a space with not much room to move. On birthdays the 24mm is to short for me (I used the lens on a 300D / 30D). The 70mm is very nice.
For a decent price you get a decent lens.
