Pro:

It is pretty sharp stopped down and produces nice colours and contrast.

Con:

It is just a nice wide-angle walkaround but it is just too short to use it comfortably in most situations. It doesn't excell in anything.

Review:

This lens was originally available as a kit with the Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D. At first worth over €500, but later the price settled around €200-300. For that money you get alot.
In landscape photography where stopping down a lens is needed, this cheap lens might be a good choice. If you want better,  be prepaired to spend alot more.

Sidenote: This lens has the same specifications as the Tamron 17-53/2.8-4 and this lens was also build by Tamron, but with a higher QC then the Tamron-branded lenses. Therefor this lens is generally considered better than the Tamron-version.
